Why you still need that website for your company
Gone are the days when people would say: I don’t need a website. All I need is a social media page like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc…
The truth of the matter is that the social media platforms mentioned above are owned by some Tech. geeks who can decide on your business page without your consent from one day to the other. They are still in control of shutting down your business page or banning you if they suggest your posting is not in regulation or terms of their policies.
For instance, you own a Facebook page or an Instagram page where you’ve already built a trusted audience and you have gotten a lead from it, your page has been active for four or three years. one day, you open the page and find out that it has been deleted for some reason you don’t understand. it could be that a hacker has taken control of your page, or a someone has cloned your page and impersonated you to deceive or mislead your followers.
These are just a few out of many consequences that may occur to your page; you are therefore left with nothing. You find yourself repeating the registration process and going through the stress to re-call your followers or build up the page all over again.
Every update by the social media platforms brings new changes to a few aspects of their designs, functionalities, and features you might not always like.
For instance; you like the fact that you can save some posts have access to them later, then an update is brought to change the functionality of that feature whereby you can no longer save a post unless you like it or comment.
At the end of the day, you are not truly in control of how your page looks like, who call the shot of the page, if the platform is shut down, your business page online is shut down as well as long as it remains that way.
This will mean you may lose some clients, and more clients you would have gotten for the time being, and also not be able to disseminate new information to your followers, and you will have to look for another alternative.
With all these disadvantages, we can only say that social media platforms should be seen as an additional tool to enhance the marketing capability of your company not replacing your main online presence representative which is a website.
With the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has realized how important it is for businesses to be online to keep up with revenue and the trend.
A website represents your company on the online sphere, it’s your company’s presence online on the internet 24 hours per day, all year round, with no interruptions, it gives you a sense of genuineness.
A website provides in-depth information about your company, it also can give first-hand information or news about your products or services which the client can only access from your website.
Your target audience sees it as being authentic.
A website well defined, built, and having the right functionalities can get you the lead you need, the right clients who need your services; and at the long round, you will see an improvement in your revenues and get to understand that it’s a full beneficial asset.
